Location: Soufriere, St. Lucia

We arrived early this morning in St. Lucia after a long overnight passage from Bequia. After everyone reluctantly rolled out of bed, we had some breakfast and then did a hardcore boat appreciation, where we once again made Ocean Star sexy for Kevin. After a short break, we caught a taxi onshore that took us to a few cool places on this side of the island. Our first stop was at some sulfur springs. The smell was horrendous, but the tour guide told us a lot of interesting info about the geology of the island. Then, we headed over to some botanical gardens, which were absolutely beautiful. To top off our day, we stopped at some natural sulfur hot baths. They were incredibly relaxing, and we needed to chill out. Back on the boat, we had a delicious dinner prepared by Nate and Dave Z. We also had, in my opinion, the most beautiful sunset of the trip. It was a flawless sky, and the cliffs on the side of the island were picture-perfect. I wish I could take a giant panorama of where we are moored here. After dinner for Chelsea’s birthday, we had an interesting combination of cookies and her favorite, bacon, which happened to be not too bad. Today was also a sad day. Sunshine Bear (Dave Z.) gave up on his challenge and shaved his beard not quite halfway through the trip. It now looks like we have a new crewmate here on the boat.
