Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda, BVI
I woke up this morning with a party on deck. Then I started as a skipper, which meant that I got to brief everyone on the agenda for the day during breakfast. After that, we started working on the diving certifications. Some of us are going for their Advanced Open Water, while others are hopefully going to be Open Water certified before we leave the BVI’s. It was really fun to set up all the dive gear for the first time onboard Oceanstar as an advanced diver. Then we went sailing. We raised the staysail, and I got to steer for the first time, which was also a fun thing to do. We got to Savannah Bay, and the first thing we did was jump in the water and start snorkeling. We saw a lot of fish and weird looking plants, and we also took a lot of pictures underwater. We went back on deck, where it was the open water divers turn to learn how to set up their dive gear. Right after that, we started to get everything ready for the Mexican fiesta. I hope we can have an evening like this for the whole three months!
