After our first night of watch shifts, all of us tired students got up bright and early. Today’s breakfast was pancakes with bananas. Even though they were a little messy, they were still pretty good. After breakfast, the certified divers suited up with the kits we made earlier this morning and got ready for our first fun dive. We all worked together to put the dinghy in the water. After we put all of our equipment in the boat, we drove off to the dive site. Doing the fun dive was really cool. We descended into clear water with great visibility. The dive was amazing, we saw an octopus, some crabs, the coral nursery, and we even did some cool tricks underwater. When we were finally done with the dive, we made our way back to the ship. The uncertified divers were ready to get in the water with their gear for the first time. While they were doing that, my group and I started on lunch. Lunch today was kind of a free-for-all, as most of us were in the water. After lunch, the certified divers decided to do dinghy lessons, and Aidan taught us how to drive the dinghy. After that, we went to town. First, we saw the museum with lots of historical information about the harbor. Then we went to a restaurant and shared mango smoothies. Even though I don’t really like mangos, having a cold drink was really nice. We walked through town for a bit before meeting up with the uncertified divers. Who, by this time, had finished their dives. After lots of fun in town, we made our way back to the docks to be picked up. Finally, the day was almost over, we swam, showered, and got ready for dinner. Tonight’s dinner was noodle bowls, and they were so good. Tomorrow, we start classes, and I am so ready to begin. Goodnight!
