Location: Kuata
After starting our day with some overnight oats, we picked up our anchor and ventured to Kuata Island. (Ryan had a fun time when he was hoisted up the__ to make sure we didnt run into any reefs on the way out. We were sad to leave the sharks; however, everyone was excited to explore the new reef and island we arrived at. We had tuna/egg salad wraps for lunch, and then we had a seamanship lecture that was focused on safety as well as the science of sails. As soon as we finished, certified divers headed out to check out the new reef. It was described as a sandy bottom with beautiful reef walls like an art gallery. In the meantime, other crew members read in the wind, played card games, and had a toenail clipping party off the bow. Everyone had a little free time and took showers while the chefs, Jason, Ansley, and Josh, were working hard in the kitchen. We ended the night with a dinner of chicken, tofu, green beans, and potatoes. Music got everyone excited for clean up as per usual. Then, we ended the night with a movie.
