The crew of Argo arose from their first night’s slumber aboard at the bright and early hour of 6:45. A simple yet hearty granola breakfast was awaiting us with a sumptuous fruit platter. The reason for our brisk start to the day was a morning trip to the Indonesian Embassy, an unfortunate necessity to obtain visas for the next portion of our trip. Following on from the morning formalities and once back on board Argo, the crew was given an introduction to diving procedures, and some of the crew, who had yet to blow their first underwater bubbles, were introduced to some dive theory courtesy of our lead diving instructor, Brittany, while the rest of the crew explored the marina.
Dinner was a delightful spaghetti, Bolognese, and lush garden salad. To round off a day of formalities, the crew sat down after dinner in the saloon to briefly chat about program expectations and life aboard a 112-foot sailing vessel.
