Today was an awesome day on Argo (per usual), so let’s go over the events of the day.

I was awoken at midnight for watch. I was struggling to keep my eyes open when we were told we, watch team 3, had to jibe the boat. This meant we were turning the boat with the wind coming from behind, which meant we had to retrim all of the sails among other things. All together there were ten of us trying to handle the sails on Argo in the middle of the night with no light. It was not an easy task, but we successfully jibed in a quick hour and a half before being relieved at 4 by watch team one. I know we were all winded after the work we had just done and went to sleep until lunchtime. Lunch was sausage and mashed potatoes/rice made by Juliet, which was awesome and delicious. After lunch, we 80-dayers had marine bio class where we learned about bacteria of sorts and went over the material for our fish ID quiz tomorrow. While we were in class, the 40-dayers slept, read, and spent time on deck doing watch. After marine bio, we had seamanship class where we watched a movie (from what seemed to be from the 1800s) about these guys sailing around Cape Horn. This break from lectures was definitely appreciated, as the salon can get very hot and stuffy while underway. After class, I took a nap before being awoken to Amy petting me as her way to tell me dinner was ready. Dinner was tofu coconut curry accompanied by mango sticky rice to celebrate Charlotte’s birthday! YAY! We then ended with a squeeze question of what three movies we would watch for the rest of our life, followed by a squeeze and yell “happy birthday” (in honor of Charlotte, of course). Today was awesome, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of passage holds (probably a lot, since it’s only day two). Okay, love you all. Bye!

P.S. Happy Father’s Day to all of our dads! We love you guys!
Also, Happy Birthday Charlotte!!!!!!
Also, Campbell: Skye says happy 1 year <3
