Helloo, blog readers, it is day 52 on Ocean Star.
Our day started with a great marine bio test straight after breakfast. We absolutely speeded through the test because we had a shore day ahead of us. Everybody was very excited to spend some time to see the French Caribbean culture. Right off the bat, arriving on the island, the girls were searching for some dresses and shirts and disappeared around the corner while Thomas, Mike, and I searched around the town for some restaurants. We eventually bumped back into each other at the ice cream shop. Here, everybody had some ice cream and Wi-Fi to check on friends and family. After this, we got our final sights, food, and souvenirs of this expensive little beautiful town before heading back to the dinghy dock, where Drew was going to pick us up. Arriving at the dinghy dock, we heard that Allie J, Corinne, and Amelia had some trouble at a restaurant. They forgot to bring some euros with them, and the language barrier with French also did not help. They were just about to clean the dishes in the kitchen, but just in time, Thomas arrived to save them. Back at the boat, we practiced some Emergency first responses with our great victim actors, the staff. On our first try, we were not sure if we actually did well, or some might even say ‘save them’. But I promise our second try was way better. After this, we all got to enjoy our boat showers and get ready for dinner. Tomorrow, we are leaving for Guadeloupe, wish to tell you all about it. But that is a story to be told by someone else.
