Helllloooo, from your favorite ocean dwellers! We have had a lovely day on Argo, starting with watch team 3 (consisting of Charles, Emma, Alex, Rob, and Lily- with Tim and myself) on the 12 am to 4 am watch- arguably the best watch time! We had hilarious conversations where we learned some deal breakers and deal makers for everyone, as well as did a full analysis of an iconic song. It was also the first watch where we remained fully dry! We handed over to watch team 1 (made up of Celia, Carsen, Sammy, Maria, Eddie, and Will- with Gabe) at 4 am, and they had a nice sunrise watch with two rainbows!! At 8 am, watch team 2 (consisting of Santana, Leo, Drew, Maya, and Cate- with Claire and Phoebe) took over and had a watch full of laughs and even came up with their own language!
With the threat of yet more storms, we served and ate lunch down below- sweet potato sambos courtesy of Calum. After clean up, we had leadership with great discussions facilitated by Charles and Lily. Shortly after, Gabe enthralled everyone with more nav master, and the rest of the afternoon was used for study time. We all came together for an amazing dinner of Calum’s mom’s famous spaghetti (vomit on his sweater already). The night ends with yet another incredible sunset, and clean up shenanigans are afoot.
Over the past few days, the staff has been able to watch each student do things they never thought possible, not the least of which starting to cross an ocean. We have had very rainy and rocky days, but we are all doing really great out here, and spirits are high- still love the open ocean. Everyone is feeling much better, and sea legs are finally starting to kick in (the ocean is helping us out by flattening out a little).

To my family, I miss you, oodles, and happy July! Can’t wait to hear about your firework display!
