Location: Palau, Sardinia

Last night, as we were sailing to Sardinia, we were so lucky to see the most GORGOUS sunset ever. Red, yellow, orange, blue, teal, green, pink, and purple were just a few colors that showed themselves last night. My watch team was on shift from 8 pm to 12 am last night. We saw a ton of shooting stars and animals. Some cute baby dolphins were seen jumping around the boat following their pods. When I woke up this morning, we were anchored in a beautiful harbour. Think about what Moab, Utah, looks like, but with more trees and water. Today was a big day because it was the first time we were able to swim off the boat. We all took our swim test this morning, right after breakfast. I was expecting the water to be freezing, but it was absolutely perfect. The water is so blue and calm here. After the swim test, certified divers started getting their gear ready for the first dive of the trip. We uncertified divers had to hang out in the Salon watching PADI videos for hours on end. We were able to pass all of the quizzes today, so we can start our training dives tomorrow morning. We also got a crash course lesson on how to set up our BCDs and regulators. Other than that, it was a pretty chill day; people were swimming all afternoon and hanging out with each other. I was very tired from my shift last night, and I took a few naps in between all of the fun!

I hope everyone reading this is well, and I can’t wait to see my family soon!!
