After making spicy ramen at 2:30 am on watch last night, I was woken up at 6:30 am to prepare to wake everyone up for the busy, busy day to come. The morning was a cold and dewy one that had everyone wearing sweatpants and sweatshirts to breakfast. As the sun fully rose, the plan of the day was revealed. The not-yet-certified divers would be tasked with completing all of the confined water dives within one day, a daunting task. The (hopefully) soon-to-be Advanced Open Water divers, including myself, were tasked with using compasses to get lost and then find our way back to the boat with 25ft of wiggle room if we misjudged it. Cam and I hit it perfectly all 4 times. Let’s get sendyyyyy!!!!) The diving began right after breakfast, just barely allowing food to digest, and people loading into Nopes and Plaii, our dinghies.
Spirits were high to finally get into the water and breathe for the first time. Everyone crushed all the drills, including the worst one. The feared full removal of the mask while underwater. In between each dive, Shane and Charlie pumped the tanks full again, allowing four groups of divers to go one after another. We all thanked them wonderfully, and after dinner. While the water is a little bit chilly, depending on certain people, it is gorgeous, and the visibility is awesome. Everyone crushed the day and is going to pass out the second we all get into bed. Overall, it was an awesome, very full day, ended by an awesome meal cooked by our captain. I am so tired and ready to sleep. Thank God, I don’t have an anchor watch tonight!!
Have a great day or night wherever you are in the world!

P.S. Lila, I am going to get Rescue Diver before you…
