Good morning or good afternoon, wherever you’re reading this. Today started out as a normal day on Argo. I re-read what I said about a normal day on Argo. When my watch team handed off the watch at 8 am, it was amazing weather, and everything was so smooth. But of course, right when watch team two came on, the wind decided to pick up from 10 am to 40 knots and swells of 9 ft. So, of course, most everyone woke up and woke up to the definition of chaos, but as someone anonymous said, “It could be worse, we aren’t on Vela.” The chaos was Sam trying to head chef with no sous in the state of the boat everything was every where a bag of flour exploded all over the galley everything was flying so me Teagan, Rachel, Matthew and Emily started to trying help lunch but when me and Matthew were trying to secure some bread we got smacked by a wave and both of us ate crap. This led us to set everything down and go on deck, but it turned out to be just as chaotic up on deck. Meg and Aidan were leading everyone on what to do, and everyone was running around. They were doing an amazing job getting the jobs done, but after the chaos was over, lunch was ready. The salon and the galley might not have made it, but lunch was ready. Everyone was pretty in shock by the lunch, the pork was so good, thank you, Sam. After lunch, it followed up with the normal cleanup. Then we had two classes today, which were great. Meg and Aidan did an amazing job as usual, then we were blessed with everyone’s favorite thing: free time. But for watch team 1 there was no free time for us but it was a very calm watch. Cam, Samantha, and I attempted fishing for the first time on the boat; we sadly had no luck, but it doesn’t mean we will stop — we are going to catch something. Then came the end of our watch and also dinner time with a gorgeous sunset, like it is every night, and that leads me to now as the day comes to an end. All I can do is be grateful for everything that has come my way, for my friends and family, and the amazing people on this boat, and that I get to go through this experience not just myself but as a family.
For my friends and family reading this I love and miss all of yall I pray for yall everyday and am grateful for you in my life and for my parents moving homes right now yall got this.
