Location: Underway to St. Lucia
As the sunset yesterday (picture #1), we entered our last full day on the Great Atlantic. This brought many emotions and a few night watches (My 4- 8 am watch picture # 2 L to R, Claire, Lillian, Emma, Dan, Amy, Elis, and Audrey). Another exciting thing is that we are still on our sailing streak of 13 days, otherwise known as 1,897 miles of smooth sailing (Picture #3 Total trip mileage and a few other stats).
After enjoying a beautiful sunrise, we did a bit of sail handling (picture #4 Grace N and Eliza taking up on the main staysail preventer) followed by two classes: Oceanography, where we took our final (picture collage #5 taken shortly before our exam L to R Grace C., Mich, Mac, Boston, James, Eduardo, Luke, Theo, Amy, Liam, Chloe) and a VHF class (picture #5 Lukas and Cat below the Phonetic Alphabet). While we were in class, our galley team was whipping up a banger meal of garlic parmesan chicken rice (picture #5 galley team cooking L to R Liam, Ruby, and Chloe), which we then destroyed during dinner (picture #6 L to R Chloe, Luke, Liam, Audrey, and Amy).
After dinner we got to our jobs (picture #6 L to R Claire, Lukas, Big Mac, Brenden, Eliza, Cat, Elis, Theo, Grace C., Mac, Dan)(picture #6 Luke as the down gopher)(picture #7 my view writing the blog Mac and Dan visible through the porthole) then we got back to watch (picture # 7 watch team 3 L to R Theo, James, Smash, Cat, Mac, Eliza, Max, Luke and Grace N.). All of this eventful day was followed by a beautiful sunset (picture #7).
