Location: Porto Venere
Waking up to the boat still moving was a shock after the plan was to arrive in Portovenere around 4/5 a.m. But there is no time like the present, so right away I got my foulies on and headed out on deck to help take in the main sail after last night, my watch group was the first people to raise the main sail this semester aboard Argo. After setting the anchor, it was time to feast on some eggs and cheesy bread. My day as skipper was a little unorthodox when it came to the day plan instead of reading the plan for the day I had to set out a group of ideas and the crew had to decide what they wanted to do because we had a set amount of things that needed to be done today but we all wanted shore and get some more shore time in so as a group we decided to head to shore for a few hours getting some mighty fine food along the way and stopping at the ruins of a castle where my group had a mini photo shoot. Then we came back to Argo to have a lesson on the science supplies aboard the vessel. We have a big hike tomorrow, taking place where the Disney Pixar movie Luca was filmed, so we ended the day off in the salon as one big group watching the movie Luca.
