Location: Port Elizabeth, Bequia, St Vincent
Today was one of my favorite kinds of days. We did nothing but SCUBA dive. We do a fair amount of scuba diving on this trip, and I love every minute of it. This morning, we were split into two groups. One group went diving with Kris to collect sediment samples for a former employee of Sea|mester working on her Ph.D., while the others dove with their research group to collect data. Collecting sediment samples was a pretty good time, aside from accidentally grabbing a sea urchin instead of the sand. I don’t know how I managed to do that. It was very well concealed. Diving with my research group was a blast, too. We collected all kinds of data regarding coral in the area. Even when we have to do schoolwork under the water, taking the plunge is just as exhilarating every time I do it.
