Location: Roseau, Dominica
We woke up bright and early to set out for our two dives with Dive Dominica, who picked our dive bags and us up from the docks. Then we took a short but beautiful trip over to our first dive spot, L’Abem, one of our deepest dives yet! The beginning of which looks like a completely normal dive, until we reached a sudden and seemingly infinite drop off that was full of life and lionfish for our dive masters to hunt. It was also the location where most of us saw our first frogfish! The next dive was less deep but just as amazing, at the spot called “Champagne.” Well named for the small streams of bubbles that came from the ground and floated to the surface that seemed to surround us, a dive I would recommend going on if you ever get the chance. After we were sufficiently amazed by the dives of the day we got to spend some time on shore where many of us got some good burgers and wifi, while others hit the town and headed to the barbershop. Following we had a yummy meal and had a little dance party while getting ready for our night out, which was a relaxing way to end the tiring day of diving.
