Location: Barcelonaaaaaaaaaaaa

Eight hours and eight sandwiches later, I stepped off the bus a new man. My sandwich tour of Barcelona began right beside the Gran Sagrada Familia Cathedral with Audrey, Chloe, Dan, James, Watson, Mac, and Brenden. With the beautiful views of the Cathedral, I enjoyed a Salami and cheese sandwich that was surprisingly delicious. Right after that, we remembered we needed to meet with the whole group to see where the America’s Cup was taking place. We realized it was an hour’s walk, so a sandwich was necessary for the road. I grabbed a mouthwatering Jamon Serrano and cheese sandwich. During our walk, we went into a toy store and really considered buying a Back to the Future Delorean replica but realized that it was way out of our tax bracket. Instead, we left feeling defeated. What made it better, though, was another sandwich. This time I ate a Jason Serrano, Cheese and Tortilla Espaola sandwich which was the least enjoyable sandwich of the day because it reminded me of the eggs of a particular fast-food place with the colors yellow, blue and red. It’s all good, though, because after the whole group met back at the America’s Cup semifinal, a famous sailing race, which, honestly, I expected to be a little boring. I was pleasantly surprised when the race started and the sailing boats started going at 38 knots. After that exhilarating race, Eliza, Elis, James, Mac, Lukas, Dan, Brenden, and I went to the Mercado de los Bocadillos, where I got the best sandwich out of all of them. It was a Bellota sandwich with nothing else. After the first bite, I knew that no other sandwich stood a chance. The other two sandwiches I had during our time at the market were good but were incomparable to this heavenly creation. After eating all this sandwich, it was time to meet with the whole group at la plaa de Catalunya. If I had a nickel for every pigeon there, I would have $4.40, enough money to buy another sandwich! After the subway ride to the train station, we needed to wait for two people who were late but wouldn’t be mentioned (you know who you are). I decided to have the last sandwich of the day, a scrumptious Jamon serrano and cheese sandwich, which is perfect to close out the sandwich tour through Barcelona. To get back to Tarragona, we got on the train with what seemed like the whole population of Spain. After that train ride, we needed to get on a bus to get to the port, but the ride seemed endless, and yet we made it back safe and sound. This concludes the sandwich tour and our day in Barcelona.

Love you all
