Location: St. Pierre, Martinique
Today was excellent, our first full day in the French territory of Martinique. After breakfast we motored to Ft. De France, a bustling French metropolis. Once in the big city, we savored the food and rich culture that surrounded us. After ample shore leave, we hauled back the anchor to motor to St. Pierre, a small town that sits in the shadow of Mt. Pelee; the volcano that had destroyed the town over 100 years ago. We gazed up at the now quiet volcano in anticipation of our hike to it’s summit, that adventure will take place tomorrow. Tonight we dined on an excellent sweet and sour chicken as we compared creative Halloween costumes. Another amazing day voyaging the Caribbean on Ocean Star. .
