Location: St. Pierre, Martinique
We woke up to a cereal breakfast and an early start to the day’s hike. On the way up the mountain, to the beginning of the hike, our busses fan belt broke, so we were marooned by the side of the road for a short while until the replacement bus arrived. The hike up the mountain was long, but it was only hard in a few places. The hike into the crater was relatively relaxing, with the summit on the other end. We had lunch on the summit and then continued down and ended the hike with a snack at the cafe’ at the starting point before we returned to Ocean Star. After a dinner of coconut chicken and a Marine Biology class on whales, the day came to an end.
