Location: Savannah Bay

Our third day of this tropical adventure started with a bang. Quite literally. The thunder was so loud it startled some people awake. We had quite an eventful evening that started during my anchor watch. I informed our wonderful crew that the boat was acting quite squirrelly, and they stayed with me to see if things would work themselves out. Quite quickly, we had to do some rearranging of the anchors as the winds had picked up because of the incoming storm. The storm came in very quickly and gave us about 45 minutes of torrential downpours. Once the weather had subsided, the crew informed us that the anchors had crossed and that we needed to get things properly situated again. I jumped in the dingy with our crew member Ben around 12:30 AM, and we, along with the rest of our crew, began the process of re-anchoring the vessel. Things finally died down around 1:30 AM, and we were off to sleep for an eventful day.
We woke up bright and early to enjoy breakfast in the beautiful Virgin Gorda, where we were told we would all be learning how to scuba dive today! We were all very excited, and our knowledgeable crew guided us through the process of setting up our gear, and then we got in the water. We dived for a total of 3 hours today and learned so many incredible skills that will prepare us for the beautiful dives ahead of us on this trip. We ended the day with a hearty dinner and a cool ocean breeze, which was very much appreciated. Also, we found a large barracuda under the boat and named him Barry.
