Location: Savannah Bay

Today, we woke up to a lovely breakfast of coffee cake and yogurt prepared by our chefs, Ryan and Paige. It was quite delicious, but afterward, there was a bit of a challenge involving the cleanup process because the cake on the pan was nearly impossible to remove (pictured below). It took a solid 20 minutes for Arlo and Griffin to clean it up, but they persevered. After preparing to leave, we finally left West End and began sailing to Savannah Bay! There was a bit of rain, which was heavily welcomed as we were all suffering from the heat. Those of us who werent Open Water Dive certified (Arlo, Piper, Luke, Maddy, Gill, and Kat) began our lessons. The first of us to get seasick was Kat, but she felt much better once we anchored. As soon as we ran over some boat procedures, we started our water test, which had been heavily anticipated with anxiety. Luckily, we all passed! Some even stated that it was their favorite part of the day because it was their first time being in the water the whole trip. We celebrated by exploring the area around us and even snorkeled up to the beach, where we saw a couple of colorful fish around the rocks. I cant even explain how clear the water is here, and SO incredibly blue and perfect. Were all adjusting well and getting to know each other better while understanding the differences in how we all operate. For example, Ryan shared that he often went on vacation with both Bella and Gigi Hadid as a little kid, Maddy and Gil both do equestrian horseback riding, and Paige made herself allergic to peanut butter by overeating it. Tonight is our first anchor watch, where we have designated times to wake up and make sure nothing bad happens to the boat. Please wish us luck because theres been some lightning arounduh oh. But overall, a 10/10 first day!
