Location: Nelsons Dockyard, Antigua
Another great day in the land of Antigua! The day began bright and early for a few of us who rose at dawn for a hike to some of the old forts in the harbor. After breakfast, the group went to shore to present our OCE lit reviews. We then caught the bus to St John’s, where we explored the town for a few hours. Highlights included pizza, shopping, a local game of dominos at the bus station, and the debut of new hairstyles by a couple of the crew members who got braids. Back in English Harbour, we had some free time before our second OCE class and made it over to Lord Jim’s Locker to peruse the bookstore. Unfortunately, we did not meet the owner of the bookstore, who is famous for his storm watch radio uptakes. Following dinner was an MTE class and relaxing for the rest of our last night in Nelsons Dockyard as we head to Green Island tomorrow morning.
