Suns Up Its a little after Twelve.
Greta made Bahn Mi sandwiches for me
Leave the mess for someone else (the dishie pit)

Please review the lyrics from the legally blonde soundtrack. I did not download this song for passage, but it really describes today perfectly. I arise a little later than I should after a very starry dark 4-8 am watch left me deep in sleep to the AC being on (only bc the oven was on, dont get it twisted) and full sails up with us on a starboard tack. Talk about best wake up forever. The lulls of EDM remixes and the aroma of frying tofu pull me into the galley where Greta is nailing Dels recipe for Vietnamese cuisine. Above, the sun is heating things up, but sailing at 9.5 knots, there is plenty of wind on your face. Yes, you could say Im in sailboat heaven.
An afternoon of learning about marine life in the Continental Shelf and the open ocean (omg, which we have been seeing!) followed by finishing White Squall, the movie for leadership. White Squall left me quite disgruntled as it was based on a true story, and spoiler alert, life isnt a fairytale. After an exciting Emergency First Response Scenario where our crew saved four victims in the cockpit, we kicked off dinner with Greta and Hilarys absolute favorite dish, Penne Al Vodka, with a yummy salad. We received another epic performance from our Captain who also happens to be the King of Time, as we switch our clocks back another hour. Now time for us to strike the sails as the wind dies (absolute sadness) and grind out our marine bio papers and lit review presentations.

Pictures Included:
