Location: Elba Island, Italy
Having arrived in the harbor at Elba Island at around 8:00 following Argo’s kick-off night of watches and night motoring, Argo’s latest crew woke at a casual breakfast and jumped into the Mediterranean for an early morning swim. A delicious lunch of quesadillas was prepared by our chefs of the day after the crew readied for an afternoon of exploring Elba Island. The island’s classic streets and alleyways confirmed Elba’s reputation as the best of the best of Italy’s specialty appearances and cuisine. At the end of our time on Elba, we spent some time at the beach, enjoying the company of the locals and their families. Though all are tired, a boat orientation and inaugural sail class await Argo’s crew in preparation for our first sail day at 5 am tomorrow.
