Finally, the start of the semester, Ocean Star was looking as shiny and beautiful as ever, and the staff eagerly awaited the arrival of the spring 2015 crew. From mid-day on, they showed up in bunches, fresh off the airplane or the ferry from St. Thomas. Everyone has packed away their things into their bunks, gotten their dive gear organized in the Laz, and explored the main areas of their new home for the next 80 days. We all got together for our first squeeze and meal, and of course, lots of chit chat as we get to know each other and learn about all of the things we have in common (Austin is from Charleston, I lived there for a few months for an internship!) and all of the cool talents (Emma can play the ukulele, cool!) and awesome experiences (Sean spent last semester backpacking and hiking through New Zealand with NOLS) that our shipmates have had. It’s just the beginning, and we are excited to really get started tomorrow with the program!

Take your college campus to the ocean and sail the length of the Caribbean's Lesser Antilles. One of our most popular semesters, this fall educational expedition is made up of short 1-3 day passages, allowing us to spend plenty of time exploring the Caribbean’s marine and island environment and culture.View Details
