Location: Statia to BVI
This morning was quite a special one on Ocean Star. We had the pleasure of meeting James’s family. Dr. and Mrs. Stratton along with James’s three brothers Christopher, Tom, and Michael all joined us for breakfast. We had a lovely meal prepared by Brooke and Ben. We all sat around the cockpit telling our favorite stories of James. We spoke of all of the wonderful memories with James on board while his family spoke of James at home. After lunch and a little time to decompress it was time to set sail. We eased our sails for a downwind passage and headed towards BVI! We could not have been more excited to return to the place where we started it all. We will sail through the night and make it to Round Rock Pass around dawn. I am giddy at the idea of tacking up the Sir Francis Drake Channel to Virgin Gorda! Much love from Ocean Star and a warm thank you to the Stratton family for the unforgettable visit. It meant so much to us all.
