Location: Barbuda

The day began as the sun broke through the clouds over Barbuda and lit the stunning 11-mile beach in gorgeous sunshine. Breakfast was followed by an Oceanography class talking about coral reef biology and ecology. Then, some of the crew headed for shore to see the sights of the local town, Codrington. To reach the settlement, we had to beach the tender and then drag it across the sandy spit and into the lagoon in order to motor across to Codrington. There, the crew experienced what was claimed by their maker to be the best chicken rotis in the world!’. The rest of the afternoon involved swimming and playing in the waves, followed by preparation for tonight’s departure to St Barth’s.
