After a grand pancake breakfast (Thanks Isobel and Chantale!) we did our sail prep and headed for Barbuda, a 35nm journey. Ocean Star carefully went out the small reef-surrounded channel into the open Atlantic. The weather was beautiful and before we knew it, palm trees appeared on the horizon. We made our way through the shallow waters surrounding Barbuda and dropped anchor. Ocean Star was given a salt removal wash for her hard work, and then half the crew headed for the gorgeous beaches to enjoy some rad body surfing. The body surfers (Conor M., Stephen, Henry, Mick and Mandy) have taken the name Team Rad’. After showering we watched the sun sink below the horizon, ate dinner and had an Oceanography class.
