Location: Underway to Morocco

Hello world!! We began our day today with 11:30 wake-ups followed by pasta cooked by Jem. I was peacefully awoken to a quiet boat, and all of our sails were up and full. I even had time to knock out some laundry before the day got started. Were still on our way to Essouria, and we expect to get there early tomorrow morning! After lunch, we had a riveting Oceanography class, and then we all presented the charities we created a few days ago to the rest of the class. These presentations ranged from environmental charities with musical aspects to charities that donate shoes to those in need (like Sam). Or, my personal favorite, Big Beautiful Bugs: a charity dedicated to the appreciation of less conventionally attractive bugs that are typically overshadowed by bugs like butterflies and ladybugs. After some free time, we ended our day with some FIRE chicken bowls, and my question of the day was who is the most influential person in your life? to which most responded with either their parents or their siblings, reminding us all who were missing today. With today being day 40, many of us have been anxious about today, calling it doomsday (as in over a month in, but not even halfway through the program). I personally expected at least a few crashouts and squabbles, but everything is, as Emily put it, Kumbaya. I think that while were on a passage like this, everyone is either too locked in on watch or too tired from classes to crash out. Also, if anyone knows who or what can go to the umbrella party, PLEASE let me know as soon as possible.

To Mom, Dad, Big Brother, and Bruno: I miss you soo so much and I cant wait to see you all when I get home. Send my love and prayers to Grandpa, and let him know Im thinking of him. I love you guys!!!

P.S. a message from Gianluca:

A mamma e pap, auguroni per questo traguardo incredibile e un abbraccio dalla costa marocchina. Anche questanno saremo lontani fisicamente, ma vi sono sempre vicino.

P.P.S. Happy birthday, Johnny! -Chloe
