Location: At Sea
It all started off at an early hour of 6am. We arose from our peaceful slumber in Gorda Sound to raise our anchor and head over to do a morning dive at Coral Gardens. Alas it was not meant to be; with about 50 ft of chain left our windless decided it wanted to spring a leak in one of the hoses. The anchor team, led by Adam and Drea, then got their morning workout as they had to manually haul the anchor the rest of the way to the boat. Cool, change of plans, we then went to Road Town, where shipmates got some shore time to fill up on their land needs, while the staff made some phone calls, found some parts and expertly fixed the hydraulics for the windless. By about 3pm everything was put back together and the shipmates had Ocean Star ready to sail. We hoisted the anchor back on board the boat (still manually as it was our secondary anchor), turned south and headed for the open ocean. This is it, this is what it is all about, as we leave the British Virgin Island behind us, new adventure awaits us. Waves crash over the bow, excitement rolls through the air, the crew of Semester summer 2010 is ready for adventure. Your Skipper Casey Jones signing off Cool Peace Bye..
