Location: Grenada

This morning, the crew enjoyed egg and bacon bagels for breakfast. Next, we headed off to the Seven Sisters Waterfall. We had a really cool guide named David, and we also met his friend, Super Butterfly Man. On the walk down to the waterfalls, David showed us some local crops, including Nutmeg, Pigeon Peas, and Cinnamon. At the falls, Dan, Mike, Paul, Chris, Kate, and Jamie all hiked up and jumped off all seven waterfalls. Some even went back for seconds. After a nice walk back to the van, we were dropped off at the beach where the annual Grenada Sailing Festival was taking place, so we sat and had lunch watching the local workboats going through their paces for the races. Having a local lunch was eye-opening. Eating fried fish and breadfruit was an interesting experience. Around 14:30, we caught the van back to the marina and spent the rest of the afternoon showering and playing in the water. During the day, Dan had left some of his belongings lying about the boat, so in order to be given them back, he performed a unique apologetic rap in clothes we all had helped pick out for him. It was incredible. Tonight, we have an oceanography class planned before we go to our bunks.
