Location: Portsmouth, Dominica
This morning on the S/Y Argo, some crew members got up early to do some morning yoga, after which we departed from Les Saintes and sailed over to the island of Dominica. This is not nearly as simple as it sounds. Before we set sail, there was a multitude of things that had to be accomplished before we could even raise the sails and pull up the anchor. When we eventually got underway, it was already almost time for a very scenic and delicious lunch. However, the undisputed highlight of the day was the sighting of some sperm whales. It was a spectacular and fantastic experience. The whales blew multiple times, and then we saw a beautiful slow-motion dive. This was one of the best days we have had so far, and we’re looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings!
