Location: Bequia
Bravo Oscar November Juliette Oscar Uniform Romeo, that’s bonjour in the phonetic alphabet, isn’t that so cool? We have a VHF exam tomorrow, so I gotta practice, you know. Ok, so today started off as any regular old day, except we live on a boat, so we were on the move to a new island the island of Bequia!!! After Spanish eggs for breakfast made by Vittoria, we had a quick marine biology class, which was only quickly interrupted for us all to go on deck. Unfortunately for me and both Hannah’s, we can cross the whole Atlantic Ocean, but our four-hour passage took it out of us, and we all spent the morning up on deck feeling quite seasick. After a quick nap, the advanced open water divers did a knowledge review prep for the upcoming wreck dive this afternoon. Lunch was a classic of chicken nuggets and potatoes made by Vittoria and me; it was a hectic preparation, as it usually is when we’re in the galley together, all in good fun, though. After food the first group of divers Camilla, Grant, Hannah Y and Reed went to scope out the sights, they all came back saying good stuff so the rest of us were excited to go check it out. Next up was Erin, Henry, Vittoria, and me, and let me tell you it was so cool. The wreck was an old fishing boat with so many corals and fish all over. We saw trunk fishies, a stone fish, some type of feather worm, and right near the end of the dive, we saw a little eel poking out of the ship’s cracks, which was crazy to see. I’m always hungry after diving, so I was super happy to have dinner pretty much right when we got back, French fries and sloppy Joe bowls in case you were wondering, very good stuff. We had another incredible sunset during dinner, where my squeeze’s question of the day was what would you name your super yacht if you had one? And to end the day, we have our beautifully prepared psct presentation, yay psct!! Hope everyone is having a lovely day, love lots, Nashota
