Location: Rodney Bay, St. Lucia
What a day! Today, we had a mini voyage from the Pitons to Rodney Bay in St. Lucia. We had perfect weather for sailing and breakfast along the way. Head chef Sammy made killer cinnamon rolls! She and sous chefs Ella and Rocco were up very late last night preparing for breakfast and definitely did not disappoint. Once we arrived in Rodney, we docked and refueled. During that time, the crew got some shore time, and we got coffees and smoothies first. After that, we did some shopping. We were super hungry after walking around, so we got lunch. Some of the crew had lunch at Sea Sal, which is a super cute restaurant with very yummy food. The other half of the crew got sushi, and they said it was very delicious. After lunch, we walked around for a bit and got some much-needed ice cream. We then lounged by a pool for a bit while we waited for the dinghy to bring us back to Ocean Star. The boat ride back was beautiful, and once we returned to the boat, Sammy, Ella, and Rocco got right to work on preparing dinner. While the chefs were cooking, Heather brought back tons of provisions that we put away. It was chaotic but also fun having everyone downstairs listening to music and organizing everything. Once provisions were put away, dinner was ready, and it was pizza! Now We are currently getting the boat ready for our passage to Martinique tonight. We will sail through the night and arrive early in the morning!
