Location: Barbuda to St. Barths
We experienced our first down wind sail today; a gorgeous 50 nautical mile sail from Barbuda to St. Barths. It did not take long to figure out that down wind steering can be rather tricky but the sunny skies made it totally worth it! Along the way we had both breakfast and lunch, saw both whales and dolphins, and sailed along side another boat staying neck and neck most of the journey. We pulled into St. Barths only to anchor next to Jimmy Buffet’s boat, the Continental Drifter. After a great dinner and a quick surf video we decided to call it a night!
