Hello blog readers!!! That’s right, I’m back!! It’s your girl Eliza! Which meannss it’s been 31 days since you last heard from me! Which is crazyyyy!! Time flies when your sailing, I guess.

This morning my watch team (watch team 3) (James, Theo, Luke, Max, Grace N,, myself, Cat, Mac, Smash, and Ben) started off the day at a lovely 7:30 am wake up time. It was quite the morning. Lillian from watch team 2 did wake ups and reported that not one but every single one of us, minus Grace N., went right back to bed and she had to preform round 2 of wake ups.

I am also happy to report that the sun has finalllyyyyyyyyy given me a reason to use one of the six sun shirts I brought! Thoaccording to everyone on this boat, I’ve been pink for the majority of this 3-month experience and am most likely to be a tomato by the end of the day red is just my color. As we near the tropics, it is getting warmer, no sorry hotter each day! I like to think back to the time we were in Rome freezing, and how I called my mom later that night telling her I packed for the wrong climate and proceeded to buy three sweat sets over the first quarter. Oh, how grateful I am to have my shorts and tank tops. Everyone is starting to get PFD tan lines. Theos is practically cookie-cutter perfect.

Well, the sun was bright, and the wind was perfection; my watch team put the remaining flying jib and fish sails up! For the first time this semester, we were FULL SAIL!!! All six sails, not another boat in sight, endless ocean, and extreme sunlight. It was truly the most beautiful sight!!

To Finish off the morning, every girl’s worst nightmare occurred when Grace N. got her hair stuck in one of the bed fans. But not to worry! Smash came to the rescue and managed to save Grace and her hair!!

After our lunch (Chicken Rice Bowls, 10/10) cooked by Boston, Jessie, and Grace N., we finished off our emergency responder video briefing with Ben! Big Mac finished off the practice exams with us for navmaster, and we will be beginning the exams tomorrow after lunch!
