Location: Nevis
Early in the morning, we completed our passage and made our way into Charlestown, Nevis. As the sun peered over the horizon, all watch teams worked to bring down the sails and set the vessel on the mooring line. Our first successful passage ended, and many of us went to catch up on sleep before the day continued. After the crew caught a little more rest, everybody spent the morning preparing for our first quiz in Oceanography. Group study sessions took place all over the vessel, and everybody went into the quiz feeling confident. After our quiz and lectures, everybody spent some time on the shore of Nevis for the first time. With some shore time, we were able to visit shops and museums and spend some relaxing time on the beach. While on shore, the crew met up on the beach for a sign-out night, where we had food at a delicious restaurant named Sunshines. With some delicious food, good drinks, and close friends, everybody had a great night at Sunshines. As the night started to come to a close, we shuttled back to Ocean Star. Everybody made it safely back onto the boat, and our anchor watches started again. After a fun and exhausting day, all but those on anchor watch went to sleep.
