Location: Nevis

Another beautiful day here in Nevis started off with Brazilian cheese bread made by Alexis! The morning was full of two super fun marine biology classes led by Heather and Steph as we learned how to test the salinity of the water, collect plankton, and many more fun projects! After our first night out, everyone was a little tired and exhausted, so we were gifted with free time in the afternoon to make the world our oyster and explore Nevis. Some of us went to the four seasons to work on our essays and get some food, while others went into Charlestown to shop, get food, or even check out the natural hot springs! We gathered back on the boat for another 5-star cuisine of mac and cheese made by Alexis and his sous chefs. To wind down the day, we had the awesome opportunity to attend a turtle walk on the shore to hopefully find baby turtles hatching. With little luck at first, and at the edge of our seats, we were greeted by two baby hawksbill sea turtles making their way to the ocean to start their lives. It was truly a breathtaking experience that left me and everyone else speechless. So much so that I had to sleep on it and wake up this morning to bring forth this action-packed log for you all. Sorry for the wait.
Love and miss everyone back home in CT and Maine so much, hope you guys are enjoying the fall and see ya 70!
