Location: Cartagena, Spain

Today started much like our others when at a dock or at anchor, a 7:30 breakfast followed by a morning class. However, instead of having a normal class in the saloon, Matty surprised everyone with a squid dissection. After everyone got their hands dirty on deck during the dissection, we were confronted with a problem. There was a problem with our next port where we would have a day trip to Granada. After a group discussion, it was decided to stay a few days longer in Cartagena and explore more of the city. Cartagena has much to offer. It was the last major port that Christopher Columbus left during his sail to the New World. The town has a rich history, and everyone is excited to go exploring.
