Location: Savannah Bay, BVI
The day began at 7:00 am for the entire crew with breakfast in beautiful Savannah Bay, Virgin Gorda. After feasting down, we received word that today will be our first dive session since we arrived on Ocean Star and, for most, the first dive session ever. After morning chores, the crew eagerly put their dive equipment together and got ready for the first session. For the new divers, you could feel the excitement and anxiety radiating off them. After the first session, though, the nerves and jitters had disappeared, and the divers were eager to get in for session two. The more experienced divers had a checkout dive in the morning, followed by learning how to properly operate a dinghy while waiting for the new divers to finish up their lessons. Once all the divers were out of the water, it was time for a sit-down family dinner on the deck accompanied by the BVIs’ beautiful ocean, wildlife, and a spectacular sunset. After everyone’s bellies were filled we were all eager to jump into bed and call it a night, so to be well rested for tomorrow’s big day.
