The crew geared up early this morning for a couple of incredible “underwater naturalist” certification dives, complete with nurse shark sightings and bubbles of volcanic gas surrounding us. After we explored Dominica below sea level. Our day continued with an excellent afternoon of communication class. As we sat down to hearty chili dinner, we watched the sun set over the still water and disappeared with the elusive and much sought after green flash, a phenomenon witnessed by few in this world. The evening was spent learning about bathymetry and contour lines in oceanography class, after which we settled into our bunks, exhausted but content in the completion of another magical day in the Caribbean.
