Location: Underway to Mauritius
Today I started my day at 4 am for watch. From 4-8, we sat in the cockpit talking and
brainstorming Halloween costumes. Supplies are scarce aboard, so we were really having to use our imagination and think outside the box. After going back to sleep from 8-10, I went to the salon to study for our marine biology test we had later in the day. Our study group included me, Scarlett, and Maia, with an addition from the galley where Zeke and Finn were hard at work making six large pizzas. After studying was done, I poked my head up to find out we had all six sails up. Lunch was a great big meal with pizza for all. After the cleanup was complete, we went down to the salon again and began classes. First was marine biology where we had an exam. We dont know how we did yet, however Perry said he briefly looked over the tests and said he liked what he saw. Between marine bio and leadership, Emma suggested we have a popcorn break. For the first time, we made it without burning it or setting off the propane alarm. Not knowing what the popcorn was for, we flocked like seagulls and cleaned out the whole bowl before class, and shortly after, found out we were watching a movie in class. Rats.. no movie popcorn. The movie we watched was a sailing movie called Maiden Voyage, a movie about the first female crewed sailboat to race in the Whitbread Round the World Race and complete it. 10/10 would recommend to all at home if you havent watched already. For dinner, there was a variety of choices with the main course being tortilla chili and for the side, fresh caught wahoo. Yummy! A side of rice with all of that, and we had a grand feast. After the second clean up was completed, I settled in the salon, listening to the music that was put on by the chefs that are finishing up cleaning the galley, and wrote the blog. Last but certainly not least, I wanted to say hi to everyone at home, and I hope all is well. Zeke wanted to give his mother and father a huge
