Location: Ladder Bay, Saba
Woke up to a beautiful day. We hiked to the Peak of Saba, Mt Scenery, from the leeward side to 3000ft, and everyone made it to the top! There were a few mini-wobblers, but overall everyone did great. As we hiked down to Windward some of the shipmates went to Jo Beans, where they made their own glass beads. By 3pm we were all back down in Ladder Bay ready for our last voyage. The sails went up beautifully and we sailed off our mooring “like the professionals that we are”. As we left Saba behind we felt like we were at the end of our journey as we made our way back to the BVI. However the journey was not over yet, in the middle of the night there were engine problems and we came into the BVI the next morning like true sailors fully under sail.
