This morning, we were all a bit nervous in anticipation of our Coastal Navigation test. It was a tough test that took up the greater part of the morning. We rushed lunch after the test because we had rented Hobie cats to sail around the bay for the afternoon. We had relay races from the beach with some tacking and jibing buoys set up. There was some “Hobie carnage,” but it all turned out well in the end. After the races, we got to sail around freely for the rest of the day. It was fun trying to “fly a hull” while ripping across the water. The trip is coming to an end, but morale is high.
I’m looking forward to some more racing tomorrow.
