Breakfast today was followed by an entire morning of taking the Nav Master exam. At lunch time those who had not yet completed their exams broke for sustenance. After lunch Rachel, Heather, Owen and I sailed the Hobie Cats from the Bitter End Yacht Club to the beach in preparation for the Hobie regatta that was to take place that afternoon. After everyone assembled on the beach we broke up into teams and the races began. Everyone had a great time sailing the little boats and both teams won several times with boat 9 ruling victorious overall. The racing was a huge success with the only casualties being two small near collisions and Simon almost tipping his boat over. Once we returned the Cats and were back on Ocean Star we had a rescue diver drill and delicious shepherd’s pie for dinner. The evening was rounded out with brownies in honor of Ross who as of today is an old man at 23 years.
