Location: Gorda Sound
Today we got to take out a mini-sailboat. Everyone took turns going out in small groups to learn the finer points of controlling a sailboat and practiced man-overboard drills as well. After lunch, those of us who had already gone out were able to go to the beach, pairing off to sail around with another kind of small sailboat called a Hobie-cat, which is a smaller version of a catamaran. Once we were all done at the beach, we came back to Ocean Star to shower and got dressed up for our first night out. Before heading to the restaurant, we stopped by the beach and ate some BBQ with the action quest crews. Coming back to the ship, we were all wiped out, and everyone was asleep within minutes of each other.
