Location: Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
Hello!!! Today we were greeted with a wonderful breakfast of yogurt, granola, and freshly cut papaya!! We then had clean up, which included Jac, Hendo, Sophie, and I drained the water from the fridge in preparation for fixing the freezer! It was an exciting process of soaking a fraction of it with a sponge, squeezing it into a bucket, and repeating the process 20 more times. This led us right up to our first class of the day: Leadership! We discussed the movie, Passengers and debated over ethics and morals. Everyone had an interesting time thinking about how they would react to the trolly problem. We then had marine bio, where we learned about flying squids!! We then had sandwiches for lunch, and some of us completed a Boat appreciation in our cabins. While others waited for their turn, they went to go do a quick round of laundry and explore Gran Canaria even more!! Another group of us decided to take the Nav Master exam early! Hopefully, everyone passed!! After ice cream breaks and grocery store runs, we all made it back for dinner on the boat. With more potential sheet changes and a rumor of more haircuts, our night came to a close!
