Location: Ile Fourchue
We arrived in Ile Fourchue last night and were able to appreciate its beauty with a mid-morning hike. Definitely one of the best hikes I have ever been on, and the elevation we achieved made for awesome views of Ocean Star below. Today was Owen’s birthday, so we woke him up with the best birthday singing ever and then continued to sing to him throughout the day. After hiking up the island, we went on our third advanced open water dive, the navigational dive, thanks to Smash for fixing the air compressor!! While the views were mostly sand, the visibility was amazing, and the sea turtles that we saw on the surface all day made this island so much better.
After diving, Kristy, Max, and I made birthday cookies for the birthday boy, who turned out mostly good. I think that everyone enjoyed grabbing handfuls of squishy cookies out of a bucket and eating them during the squeeze. We ended the night with rock music during clean-up and tomorrow. We lift anchor for our next adventure…
