Location: Underway to St. Kitts
It’s hard to describe the vastness that takes place when you are sailing on a passage. Everywhere you look, and as far as you can see, are crashing blue waves. Watch Team 3 woke up for boat checks, as is the daily routine on a passage. Everything was calm, and there was hardly any rain until someone shouted, “Shark, dolphin, whale?!” We excitedly jumped to our feet and watched these pilot whales scurry gracefully around the boat. Lunch was served, and the crew was able to get in a good nap before we had to prepare to drop all sails and anchor in St. Kitts. The idea of a nice, fresh shower and a none-rocking boat perked us all up, and after clean up, we all jumped in the water. All in all, the first rough passage was battled epically!
