Location: opers Hole, Tortola

Right after breakfast this morning, we began our “Giga-BA.” We began cleaning the galley and bunks and packing bags. A lot of hard work continued as we motored over to Frenchman’s Cay Shipyard in West End. We docked the boat and began the next stage of our BA, and we managed to fit Rachel in the engine room bilge. At lunchtime, the chefs went and picked up a lunch of freshly baked baguettes and deli meats and cheese, with a nice cold drink for everyone. By 3 p.m., everyone was feeling satisfied and pleased with their work. Ocean Star looked great. It was a rewarding way to pay her back for the many happy and fun hours of sailing she has provided to us these past 80 days. Everyone was then free to make last-minute gifts, buy ice creams, enjoy a warm freshwater “proper” shower, and call home to confirm travel details. At 5:30 p.m., we squeezed in our final time together and then headed to Pisces restaurant for a really delicious dinner together for one last time.
