Today, we were woken up at 6:30 with three divers in the water needing assistance. A can of chickpeas and two cans of black beans had fallen overboard, and it was up to us to use our newly acquired rescue diver skills to retrieve them. After a successful recovery, we went into oceanography class and the rest of our day. For lunch, we enjoyed some pizza bagels and got ready for kiteboarding. With the exception of our captain, Kevin, this was a new experience for everyone on board. For two hours, we learned the basics of this relatively new sport, just enough to spark all of our interest for more. The time flew by, and before we knew it, it was time to get dinner ready, which tonight was a beach barbeque. This is a day that none of us will ever forget. (Mom, if you’re reading this, tell Dad to sign us up for that school in Ocracoke.)
